This is a converted function block from the RS Logix 500 SCP instruction with added features. For STEP 7 V5.x (S7-300 & S7-400 PLCs)

This block selects between the first or the second group of real variables.

The AOI provides a sensor signal to be treated according to its authenticity proof. The AOI is mainly developed to be used with any industrial protocol sensor/gateway/module (ex. Modbus sensor/gateway, remote IO etc), but could be used with any analog measured value.
